0:00.0	My mother is kind of not a very emotionally connected person.
0:08.0	So she was very big about, we have two sisters and she was very big about making sure that
0:12.3	we had everything we needed in the house.
0:14.6	But there weren't words like, I love you, there weren't hugs, there weren't things like
0:18.8	that.
0:19.9	She was really trying to make sure that we had food on the table,
0:23.4	clothes to wear, transportation.
0:26.7	And so we did have all of those things.
0:28.8	And that was the way my mother kind of, I think,
0:31.0	showed us that she loved us.
0:32.1	But as we grew and we moved on and we lived in different places,
0:37.4	that is, we would still talk and connect.
0:39.6	But I just noticed, especially since COVID, she has really kind of shut down on that.
0:45.6	And what makes it really difficult is I have a daughter who just really misses her grandmother.
0:51.7	But yes, consistently, there hasn't been a lot of emotional investment for my mom
0:58.3	for pretty much the majority of my life, for sure.
