The birch show. Nobody in the audience I'm sure new but most stand up show at this

week and was layered behind the scenes. Very layered and I got to give it up to

my father man because I've come in here and I've spoke about how about seven

years ago I did my very first comedy special in Virginia Beach and it was all

because my father wanted to help me in my pursuit of my dreams and so he encouraged

me to get on stage and do my first comedy special and he enjoyed it so much

that he wanted to kind of take on a more of an active manager role in my life

and I had my doubts because well I would have been his first client he had never

done it before but he he did well he did he did handle it and this time he wanted

to do it again but he wanted to really make it a big deal and so I trusted him

I trusted him to really put this entire thing together and he told me all I

want you to do is show up and do what you do that's it that's all you ever got

to worry about so you got to handle so I was confident in this going well all

the way up until about literally a week before the show he called me and he had

a completely different tone I knew something was wrong I mean he sounded defeated

and I felt bad for him because I knew how much this meant to him and how much

he wanted this to be a success and show enough life will always throw some

stuff at you a week before the show he literally gets a call from the venue

that he had we had planned for like three months at this point and they were under

new management so the day the day of the show this place was opening and a guy didn't

want a comedy show to be like the soft opening of his new spot so he basically

told us that he would still honor it but it had to be at 2 p.m. on Saturday
