Hey guys, welcome back to the Tree Anarchy. This is your host Echta, and today I have a wonderful guest with me that is going to tell us a lot about dermatology, but also her wonderful brand.

I'd love to learn more about you. What made you go into

dermatology?

Oh, great question.

So honestly, getting into medical school, I kind of just applied on a bet.

I had no interest in going and I was a biomedical engineer as my background so I just kind of had the classes and my boyfriend at the time was trying to get in so I kind of like just to piss him off I decided I would try to get in and I got in and then while I was doing my rotations and everything I thought I was going to do either Obie Gine or gastronyrology and then by that time I was dating somebody else so I went with my boyfriend to his dermatology office and his dermatologist is like what do you want to be when you grow up and I'm like I don't know and he said you should do Derm.

So that's when I kind of peaked my interest in Derm.

And then I started doing dermatology, you know, rotations and I've always been an oil painter, you know, in my past life I still do it.

So for me, dermatology was sort of the extension of the canvas and the paintbrush and it's very much color oriented and visual it's a visual speciality.

No, I think Durham is such an interesting field

at that stage of residency and match and stuff.

Like, it's a really cool field to get your hands into a lot of different aspects of medicine I feel like so yeah I mean skin is your largest organ of your body

It's probably the number one residency, so it's hard to match in it, but it affords you a nice lifestyle.
