Each year near the beginning of Lent, we hear the biblical story of Jesus being tempted

in the desert by the devil.

Have you ever wondered about this scene?

Have you ever wondered what Jesus was really going through in this scene?

And have you ever wondered, is it really possible that Jesus could have been tempted? I mean,

he's the all holy son of God. He's the perfect one. He's all holy. How could he possibly be

tempted by the devil? Yet the Bible says, Jesus was tempted by the devil. And even if you were tempted by the devil. Yet the Bible says Jesus was tempted by the devil. And even

if you were tempted by the devil, why would he allow himself to go through this? I mean,

and he's God. He could just, you know, fight the devil away. Why would he allow himself to

undergo this big trial, this huge or a deal with Satan? These are common questions. Many Catholics have about this scene in the Bible, and St. Thomas Aquinas has some magnificent answers that we're going to explore in this week's podcast. So welcome to All Things Catholic.
