Summary
This week we're talking risk, ambiguity and the great unknown. As Louise prepares to teach her annual course, she has been reflecting on the blocks and fears that so many artists experience. Together, we explore our own comfort with risk - where are we willing to leap into the unknown and where do we perhaps hold back a little? What is the difference between growth mindset and fixed mindset? And where can we perhaps push ourselves to take just a little more risk? During our chat, we discuss whether age plays a role in our inhibitions, explore the idea of dancing with fear, and debate the concept of comfort zones and safety.

| 1:01.1 | drinking hot water she's tired and exhausted and so this might be a shorter episode than normal, but we, I'm just so proud of her for showing up and doing it anyway because it was going to have to be me rabbiting on on my own which I think would have been very boring. |
| 1:17.0 | I'm just here as a sounding board. |

| 1:24.0 | And we've chosen a subject that just happens to be on my mind at the moment. |
| 1:28.8 | And it's quite funny because our subject is about venturing into the unknown and we genuinely are doing that because I've |
| 1:38.0 | written a couple of notes but I have no idea what I'm going to say. I just went for a dog walk and tried to and try to muster some wisdom but I'm not sure that it came through. It's just something that's been on my mind a lot recently and I thought we could talk about it because it's something I can blather on about and Alice can rest a voice. |
| 1:55.0 | I think it's reacting to how things change when you don't expect them to as well. |
| 2:02.0 | Is that part of it? It is part of it, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It happens. So let's first of all, very quickly, do you want to talk about what you've been doing or will that use up too much voice? |
| 2:13.2 | Yeah, I feel like I've been in a kind of weird time loop of groundhog days of every morning. |
| 2:21.8 | It's another day. Oh, I think I might be feeling a bit better today. |
