Four minutes after ten is the time, a very good morning indeed to you.

It's the stuff that goes on in plain sight that is perhaps the most, or the

hardest to notice sometimes, isn't it? You kind of, I know I use this analogy a lot, but I think

it's a really helpful one sometimes, or at least it helps me to articulate with a comparison,

something that I struggle to articulate literally. You know when your mum comes to visit and she hasn't seen the kids

for a while. And she comments upon how much they've grown and you can't see it yourself

because you're there every day. That's what I mean by in plain sight. So quite significant changes

can occur but if you've got your nose right up to the window, you can't always

properly measure them and track them.

It'd be like anniversaries.

You go, where the hell of all those years gone?

Because you're there every day, whereas if you have a little bit of distance, 20 years

can feel like an age.

I hope that works a little in the context of what I'd like to discuss now

because I watch the news a little bit casually perhaps. I think maybe we all do, especially in this

curious atmosphere now of everything has to be in some sense an invitation to all of us to start

biting chunks out of each other.

The coronavirus hasn't yet, well, it probably has, but I haven't dug deep enough into the

chatter to find out. People claiming it's a hoax yet, are people claiming that there's some

conspiracy in place or drawing utterly spurious comparisons with the millennium bug or Brexit
