0:08.0	And one thing that we've talked about a fair amount

0:38.0	And the fact that banking is essentially unregulated
0:41.3	in a whole lot of ways and allowed to ride rough shot
0:43.7	over individual retail bankers and faced almost no consequences
0:47.2	after 2008, which has had all kinds of disastrous effects,
0:50.8	is also in and of itself a policy question.
0:53.1	Politics is a huge part of money.
0:55.8	And politics is also a huge part of what we're going to be talking about today,
0:59.5	but it's not the only part.
1:00.9	As I said, a lot of the issues that we face when it comes to the financial lives we're living
1:06.5	stem from pretty uniquely American norms and cultures and aspirations.
