Kirstom is currently delivering a speech. I had a thought. I've had two thoughts so far this

morning. Oh, there's a lovely poem I meant to share with you ages ago. I'll probably get it

slightly wrong. Wendy Cope, do you remember? I love Wendy Cope. It's something like some men

never think of it.

You did, you'd come along and say you'd almost bought me flowers, but something had gone wrong.

The shop was closed. You'd had some thoughts, the sort that minds like ours.

Dream up endlessly, you thought, I might not want your flowers.

I used to smile and hug you then.

Now I can only smile.

But look, the flowers you almost bought have lasted all this while.

Isn't that?

It just gets me that poem.

And I only thought of it because I've had some thoughts.

And the first thought I had was let's wait

until Kirstama's speech has finished, because there are two headlines around today focusing

upon what he is expected to say. The Daily Telegraph goes very big, and that is significant for

reasons we'll get onto a little later in the programme. Very big on the line of he's going to

wean the UK off immigration, off its reliance on immigration,

because we're going to start training our own people more.

But I always thought that an awful lot of the anti-immigration argument was based upon the idea that it was unskilled.
