| 0:12.3 | Denison. Since Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in America, more than 63 million babies have been |
| 0:20.6 | aborted in our country. This is a population |
| 0:23.2 | four times the size of New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston combined. And yet, |
| 0:31.2 | more Americans than ever before think abortion should be legal under any circumstances. More than |
| 0:37.3 | two-thirds also believe it should be legal in the first three months of pregnancy. |
| 0:42.2 | If you believe, as I do, that life begins at conception, |
| 0:45.1 | you might be asking yourself, |
| 0:46.8 | how can so many people be so wrong on this critical issue? |
| 0:51.0 | It's not because pro-life supporters are not vocal and visible. The National |
| 0:55.3 | March for Life is tomorrow in Washington, D.C. It will be followed by Sanctity of Life Sunday, |
| 1:01.1 | both of which are time to coincide with January 22nd, 1973, when the Supreme Court issued |
| 1:07.3 | its ruling that discovered a quote-unquote right to abortion in the U.S. Constitution. |
| 1:13.1 | It is no longer because of Roe v. Wade. After the Supreme Court overturned this horrendous ruling |
| 1:18.6 | in 2022, returning the issue to the states, abortions increased nationwide. It's not because |
| 1:25.4 | the science is unclear. The Supreme Court claimed in its 1973 |
| 1:29.2 | ruling, we need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins, when those trained in the |
| 1:35.0 | respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus |
| 1:41.3 | the judiciary, at this point in the development of man's knowledge, |
| 1:45.2 | is not in a position to speculate as to the answer. |
| 1:48.4 | But resolving the difficult question of when life begins is precisely the issue. |
