How can I tell you?

As a kid grown up in South Georgia, I spent a lot of time fantasizing about getting out

of South Georgia.

And for me, that meant graduating high school and going to college.

So I knew my mom didn't have enough money to send me out of state, so I decided I wanted

to go to the University of Georgia.

That's because I was living in Fitzgerald and the University of Georgia was in Athens,

which was about five hours away and was as far away from Fitzgerald that you could get

without crossing the state line.

I went to the guidance counselor's office and I grabbed their shurs and applications

and went home to show my mom.

My mom is the kind of person who all of my friends loved her and she was really fun outside

at the house.

But when they would leave, my sister and I would be left alone with a person who no one
