conversation with Alexa Bigwood. You're sounding a little bit like a stocker, actually, Don, as opposed to a precursor. I was just thinking, I don't know that I've ever had such a big fan before. Yeah, I'm watching all the videos and I'm like, I dig it. I dig it. People here might know that I am a publisher book. I love what you do.

I'm a fan of it. So like rising tides lifts all boats. First of all, let's just start with,

let's take it back. How did you get into this world and how did you get so passionate about it?

Not on purpose. I always tell people I'm kind of an accidental entrepreneur. My background,

as we were discussing earlier, I was in the military and then went into Homeland Security

after that, working for the state of South Carolina. And I'm going to speed up a lot of content

and just give you the real short snippet. I decided I would rather stay home with my two toddlers than be

working in counterterrorism and they're very similar. I'll just put it that way. But we wound up

pregnant with our third child. There was a fourth bonus baby. They had a syndrome that impacts

identical twins and they were born very early

and unfortunately one of them passed away. So how I got into writing was I took to blogging

and to, I needed an outlet to just all the things. I was angry and I was sad and I had a baby

still in the NICU and I had one that

didn't come home and there was a lot going on. And then fast forward, I started getting involved

with mom bloggers and getting involved with the anthologies that were on the rise in 2012,

2013. And eventually, actually 12 years ago today, October 5 October 5th 2013 I published my first book which

was also a collection of stories from grieving parents sunshine after the storm a survival
