I'm glad you joined me today.

I'm Greg Kokel for Stand to Reason, and this is a Stand to Reason podcast,

broadcast, however you want to characterize it and I was thinking about

the new year coming up and the wonderful response that people have given to us regarding our

outposts we have a ton of them now out Outposts in 38 states. I actually don't have the

total totals right in front of me about the total number. I think it's 160 or something like that

in nine different countries. But I was thinking, you know, these outposts, which are groups of Christians

that meet together broadly under the auspices of the local church, maybe not in the church

building, but they're members of that group. People who are kindred spirit about the life of the mind and Christianity,

largely part of Stand to Reason. These are groups that are, in a certain sense, sponsored by us

with a leader that we vet, goes through a process, and we give them guidelines and meet with them on a semi-regular basis.

Trip, Allman is in charge of that and usually we meet with a bunch of them wherever we're at for

reality on a Friday afternoon, a luncheon we provide and training that happens that afternoon

before launching reality that evening.

And it's just to say, these are groups of people we care about, feeding and nurturing,

who are as leaders, discipling others in their local community in the areas of Christian thinking

and apologetics and the like. And so kindred spirits

getting together and kind of starting their own little fire, as it were, of excitement

about Christ and about the reasons why Christianity is true, and about building people who

are confident like that. And so that's the idea behind outposts.

And we've had great response over the last few years that we've been doing this.
