La La La, La, La, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Stand a Reason is the show, and I gave some advice a couple months ago, maybe, about prayer that I want to modify. Is that like Kokel saying he was wrong?

Well, kind of, but I was just a little bit mistaken. I wasn't completely wrong. And at the time,

I did make, I did mention this, that I'm not sure,

but that's the way I see it, but I could be mistaken. And so I got to check some things out,

which I did, and found out that to some degree I was mistaken. All right. And the question has to do with the issue of praying to the Father in Jesus' name by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now, nothing controversial about that Trinitarian formula for prayer.

No question there.

The question is, are we obliged to pray only to the Father, as Jesus seemed to say in the Lord's Prayer,

or can we pray to the Son, and even the Holy Spirit, although most people don't think of it that way.

They think of the Father or the Son.

And one would think kind of intuitively, well, we pray to God. God is Trinitarian, and therefore any person of the Trinity would be a legitimate object of our prayer. All right. And wait a minute, but Jesus said, pray this way, our Father, who are in heaven,

hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven, etc.

So aren't we instructed by Jesus to pray to the Father? And that's a point. And so frankly,

that's the way I have prayed for a long time.

I prayed to the Father for many, many years.

And I'm not sure, I think I have mentioned this on the year before, that the struggle for me to feel like I was emotionally connecting with God at different times and in different ways.

And when I read a piece by Tim,

no, not Tim Keller, thank you.

I got too many Tims in my head.
