I think the Democrats are totally at sea. Their leadership is completely unprepared for this moment.

I mean, this is something that was pointed out to me by one of our listeners who has been in and around

D.C. and involved in government work in the past that he pointed out that, like, one of the big

mistakes that Democrats are making is that when they talk about

the firings in the civil service, they talk about it, like, the offensive thing is that

the president thinks he has the power to fire these people. Now, I might agree with that, like,

as a kind of constitutional matter that's concerning. But, like, everyday Americans have experienced layoffs. You know,

they know what it's like when some kind of idiotic consultant comes into their business and just fire a

bunch of people. And so for the Democrats to be out there being like, well, this is bad because

these people are supposed to be this like protected class who never loses their job,

that doesn't work. It's kind of like, you know, it's a bit of a cliche now, but Democrats are

described as people who, when something bad happens, right, they want to talk to the manager. And I think

focusing on procedure, it's kind of like Democrats really hope there was one manager higher than Trump.

They could appeal to say, he can't do this,

but there is no higher manager. I mean, one thing we know from Trump being reelected is that the kind of

niceties, right, the norm breaking, the legality of this or that action, people care much less

than whether their life is better or worse, right? Like the procedural legal

arguments often, I think, just kind of, you know, people's eyes glaze over. And people were

willing to roll the dice and give Trump another chance because they didn't think their life

was going well enough. I think we're just in right now. Maybe it's always been this way,

but especially right now, it seems those

kind of arguments about norms and kind of legality, those are long gone. People just want
