and how? Donnell Harvin, the former chief of Homeland Security and Intelligence for the D.C. government,

says the U.S. is taking its eye off the ball, focusing its large domestic intelligence

apparatus in a direction not in line with the most serious threats.

Donnell, welcome. In previous years, we have seen the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security,

prioritize what they call homegrown violent extremists,

such as supporters of terrorist organizations like ISIS, domestic violent extremists to include

white supremacists, and lone actors, be the priority. Are these threats still being closely monitored?

Well, it depends on what do you mean by closely monitored. They're being monitored, but my sources have told me within the intelligence community that the focus is shifted from a lot of these domestic threat actors to immigration enforcement.
