Well, the NFL scouting combine is almost upon us.

And on today's show, we're going to take stock of some of the options the New York Jets have

as they approach the NFL draft.

We're going to take a look at three recent mock drafts made by NFL draft experts.

And the reason I like to do this from time to time is not that any of these mock drafts

necessarily have a ton of predictive value. What they do

is they show roughly how players are rated right now and what scenarios may present themselves

to the Jets. So we're going to take a look at one scenario where the Jets take some big swings

at upgrading their defensive front. We're going to take a look at one scenario where they bet on upside.

But we'll begin by talking about another approach.

And this approach would entail the Jets building out their trenches.

And I have to say that if the Jets cannot fix the quarterback position this off season,

and I think it's going to be very difficult for the Jets to figure out quarterback, the next best thing is to build out those trenches.
