Segment number two, I want you to hear some sound from first things first. Greg Jennings was part of that show. They're talking about Fernando Mendoza and how they feel at this stage of the game, knowing that he's going to be the Raiders number one overall pick, as opposed to where they felt and how they felt about the Silver and Black back in, I don't know, week 18 when the Raiders were earning that number one overall pick. And boy, oh boy, how the narrative has changed. So you hear that coming up in segment number two. Here's segment number one news and notes of the day and it really just has to do with the big time trade that took place over the weekend. So let's go ahead and jump right into it. And remember, I'm recording this on Sunday, about to make my way to Pittsburgh, going to be on that bird in just a little while traveling to Pittsburgh. So if anything else happens to shake out in between now and Monday morning, well, then you know why. You know, we're a little bit behind. But again, knowing that I'm traveling, this is, you know, kind of the best case scenario

at this stage of the game.

But let's go ahead and get into the trade that took place over the weekend.

Adam Schefter tweeted out, draft week blockbuster.

The Giants are trading three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle, Dexter Lawrence,

to the Bengals, and a deal that include the 10th overall pick going to

New York per ESPN sources. The Giants now heading the Thursday night with the fifth and 10th overall

picks. A Bengals trade for Dexter Lawrence is unprecedented. This is the first time in the common

draft era that dates back to 1966 in which the Bengals ever have traded a top 10 pick

for a player. That's per ESPN research.

And it's also, and this will get you, Raider Nation,

the first time a player has been traded without any additional compensation

for a haul that included a top 10 pick in that year's draft since the Vikings traded

Randy Moss to the Raiders back in 2005 in exchange for a hall that included the number seven

overall pick that year per ESPN research. So those were the trade. Dexter Lawrence no longer a part of the New York football Giants now on his way to Cincinnati, which blew my mind for a few different reasons. One, Cincinnati has never seemed like a team that has been interested in defense, right? They had Trey Hendrickson. They didn't want to pay him. They didn't want to keep him in the mix. And they ended up letting him walk. He's now in Baltimore signing as a free agent. Also, didn't think that the Giants or I didn't think that the Bengals would be willing to give up the top 10 pick. And I remember it's funny listening to and being a part of the Raider Squad Show last week, Shantel Chan played some sound from

Mike Tannerball, Mike T, on a first, I think it was Get Up. Yeah, Get Up. Yeah, she had played that sound

where he had said that the Bengals should trade the number 10 overall pick for Max Crosby.
