Well, if you have your scripture out, obviously we're in the Word series in James, and we're

going to jump ahead a little bit today, and then rewind next week, we're going to jump

to chapter 4 today.

But just to give us a little backstory on James, one more time for those of you who are

just dropping in on the Word series, this little book in the New Testament, probably the

first New Testament book that was written.

The theme of it is about believing and believing, impacting our living.

And so what James is going to do, all through these two weeks that we're in this little

book together, is just get right up in our personal space and challenge us to what kind

of faith we really have.

And I really encourage you to go back and look at the message from last week, because

it is a clarion call for me, and it is a needed message in the church.

Because what James says is, if you have faith and you don't have any works, you've got

bad faith.

In other words, the way he said it is, you have faith that is dead.

So to say I believe A, B, C, and D, and you know, I'm a good church goer, and even come

to Passion City, and I believe in Jesus, and I believe in the Bible, and I believe in

these songs that we sing it.

And then James says, well, that's fantastic.

Thank you for that.

Now how's your living doing?

Because if you don't have works, then you don't really have faith because true faith works.
