I mean, it was for me. I mean, I feel like my three or four. I definitely saw less in general. So I feel like that's to me is like every decade I've cried less. So that's been great.

0:33.0

That's a good measurement just to see kind of how things are going as the amount of sobbing that you're putting in every decade. Like when I was a baby, I cried all the time.

0:40.0

And now I haven't cried. I mean, a couple months. I'm trying to think. Oh, wow. Yeah. No problem. I'm crying. I'm crying is good, but just crying is great. But if you are constantly being driven to tears by things in your life, perhaps you're in a tough stage and that stage is probably being a teenager.

Speaking of which, we're telling horrifying, awkward, memorable, scarring teen stories this month. So I'm going to tell one of mine. Again, I did not do a lot of cool stuff. We went to Denny's. We drank Dr. Pepper and washed American Idol. Like my friends were very.

1:12.0

We were not having fun. Yeah. I mean, we were very mild mannered. So I'm going to talk about, I'm going to talk about something related to our church. So I worked as a receptionist at our church, you know, just after school.

1:23.0

And the, at a certain point in time, I was sort of talked into taking part in like a weekend where like adults come and, you know, like study the Bible and you sort of have this weekend seminar, you know, at the church.

1:38.0

And they're like, well, we need someone to you and this other teenage girl who I went to school with. We need you to put on like a little skit. You know, we got to have something to break it up. It can't be the Bible the whole time.

1:48.0

So I was like, all right, I guess so. But basically I'm performing in front of, well, now I would love to. But performing in front of a bunch of religious people's parents that I didn't know, which for some reason really intimidated me. Like I performed at school. I was fine.

2:03.0

But it's like, this is a religious setting. And so what I ended up having to be a part of was we had to put on my like clown makeup. And then we did like a mine.

2:14.0

One of us was a clown. I believe I was a clown hobo with a bindle. And I met up with another clown. We were both hobos. Alison. And we had to take open the bindle and there was bread. And then we had to do sort of a clown hobo last supper.

2:30.0

And we did it to these dreams of sending the clowns. So I'm like burning with humiliation because I'm like, that is this is drugs.

2:39.0

And at one point I look at the audience, which again are all people's parents from where I went to high school. And everyone is totally stone face like not even smiling. I was like, oh no, we must be eating shit.

2:50.0

Like we was just so awkward awful. And then by the end of it, I look over the audience and I realize, oh, they're not stone face. They're crying.

2:58.0

So everyone is sobbing. They're so moved to buy this.

3:03.0

And I was like, this is the power of theater. So we ended up on top after all.

3:11.0

But wow, in the moment, I could see that being just and like all the lead up of like, we have to do this. It's not going to go well.

3:18.0

Yeah. And like, just feeling like, well, I know it's for a good cause. And like, it's for the church. So I don't feel like I can say no. And also, yeah, they probably.

3:25.0

I'm not going to say yes to this. Like as a teenager. Like this is he really in it. Yeah. But no, we really pulled off. So thank you. Mrs. Pappelka, I believe is the woman who asked you to do it. You were right. We did a great job.

3:37.0

I mean, it sounds like you nailed it. So that still sounds traumatizing.

3:42.0

He definitely stays with me. That's for sure. Yeah. Well, clearly, if you're still thinking about it today and your late 30s, that it must be.
