The United States. I'm Vidipolitan. The subject of my investigation is the tragic death of a house cleaner, shot through a door at a home she thought she was supposed to be cleaning.

Here's the story.

Maria Perez Di Velasca has arrived at a home in Whitesown, Indiana, just before sunrise.

She was there with her husband. They have a cleaning business and were getting ready to enter the home with a set of keys

so they could do their job.

But there was one big problem. They were at the wrong house.

What happened next was tragic and fatal, standing by the front door, a deafening shot, tore through that door and struck Maria in the head.

Her husband watched the horror unfold, to save her now the DA must

decide whether or not to charge the homeowner or rule this shooting as a justifiable

homicide under Indiana law a lot of people are talking about this story and talking about the facts surrounding the story.

And you put these things together.

I mean, you've got this woman and her husband have this business, and they're up early in the morning going to work.

And they've got to clean a house and they go to this address they maybe someone gave them the wrong address they got confused i don't know but it was the wrong house it's before the sun is rising but they're just there to clean and could you imagine being there with your wife the mother of your children and you

see her get shot in the head and I think everyone's wondering like how and why did all

of this happen let's bring in court TV field reporter Cody Thomas who's been
