What we liked, disliked in love for the Mariners first series.

I shouldn't need to constantly say

it's only one series, but I am going to say it and that I also mean it this way. It's okay

to talk about what you liked love and disliked. It doesn't mean you're making some huge

declaration about the season or about a player. It's okay to just talk about what was pretty

cool to see. For instance, I thought it was

pretty cool to see Emerson Hancock going six no hit innings. One ball, no strikes. Here's the

pitch to Kwan. Swung on, hit hard on two hops right to second base. Cole Young has it. Throws the

first in time to get Kwan. Emerson Hancock, a brilliant start. First time out of the gates in

2026. Magnificent today. Six scoreless innings, a career high, nine strikeouts for Emerson

Hancock. In fact, I think starting with what we liked, the starting pitching overall looked really solid.

I know that Gilbert didn't go through six, and it was one thing that people were complaining about him last year, and I get it.

But he went through five and a third, three earn runs, seven strikeouts, nine strikeouts for Wu.

A great day as well, just one earn run for Kirby.

It's a good way to start the season.

Yeah, it is. You want to see your strength come out and look like exactly that, right?
