When we say this, Brady, you know, it's going well when the show flies by.

And obviously, we, let's see how to give us a lot to talk about, you know, the number one seed in play. You know, again, I just kind of, I remember saying this about the Mariners, especially late in the year, especially as Cal Raleigh was doing what he was doing, Brady. And I think you even feel filled in a couple different times over the course of even that run. Like, don't take it for granted. Like, the last thing I want to do is just sit here and take it for granted and just like, Oh, yeah. McCall's hit 60 home runs, ho-hum. Like, no, that's never been done in the history. The game may never be done in the history of the game as a catcher again. The Mariners, right, going all the way and winning their division for the first time in 20-something years and obviously putting themselves further up the mountain than they ever had in the history of their franchise just just nine outs away from a World Series. And I just think it's very easy to be cut in the

moment and like celebrate these successes. And oh my gosh, Sam Darnel. Oh my gosh, Jason. Oh,

my gosh, Marcus Lawrence. You know, but take a step back. Like, this team is 12 and 3.

And on the precipice of being the number one seed and having these playoffs. Now, it's going to be two hard games. There's no question about it. And if we've learned anything, like, yeah, they've had blowouts, but you better win in a bunch of ways, as Rich Gannon said there. And I also don't want to take for granted. And this is a conversation I want to get to with you.

Coming off of everything that Pete did and all the success that he had and a world championship in nearly a second and all the playoff wins and playoff runs and right i mean

don't want to take for granted at all a really really young coach that had never been a head coach

ever and comes in here and you said that to rich like has there been any moment over these nearly

two years that you have felt like Mike McDonald

has been overwhelmed?

That the game caught him up, decision making got him up, personnel.

Like, has there been any moment as you've covered this team and covered him as he's ascended

to this head coaching role?

And once again, Brady looking at his phone, checking it twice, looking for the updates and Derek Hall suspension, anything?

Yeah, we are. We did just get some news coming from the NFL. Ramone Foster, the hearing officer, has upheld the one game suspension for Derek Hall. So Derek Hall is going to miss the Carolina game. He'll be eligible to return the day after that. So he did not win his appeal. I thought he had a decent chance to do so just based on one of the angles that emerged of that play. And I thought he had maybe a case to say that, look, man, I wasn't trying to step on the guy. I was just trying to avoid getting rolled up on myself. But at the end of the day, Ramone Foster, the appeals officer, has

upheld that suspension. Maybe tomorrow. We'll dig in, as I said. Today's still a little

reflection back to the weekend and even the Thursday night game. We'll get a little more look
