You know we're in a weird era of sports when it's September and we're not talking about the return of college football in a big way at least not yet. Although we're going to get to that in a moment.

We're talking about game seven in the NBA first round of the Western conference and this game seven was a wacky series neither team could miss neither team could stop the other Donovan Mitchell was unstoppable.

You've got everything that was going on for the jazz they came out they got up three one and you thought hey this series is not going to be remotely close I'm going to be honest with you I thought that the way this series got rolling Donovan Mitchell in the jazz we're going to absolutely dominate and there was never going to be any kind of any kind of fight back any kind of push back from the Denver nuggets and then Denver got hot and Jamal Marie started to be

basically unable to miss anything from outside and and then we end up in this game where basically nobody can score at all and I'm sorry if you are a jazz fan you had the three one lead there wasn't a lot that separated these two teams.

You got to miss the layup at the other end the Denver nuggets this would have been one of the worst miss layups in the history of the NBA swinging it back the other direction might connolly gets a wide open at least as wide open as you could possibly hope for in this scenario three point shot to potentially win game seven this is what it sounded like on the call.

I'm sorry jazz fans it didn't drop for you the nuggets win they advanced to play against the clippers now I don't think that it's going to make a lot of difference we've been talking about the expectation for the clippers to be going up against the Lakers and

ever since this all began back in October as I said in the first hour I went and I watched this game and started to play again with my

game in the first hour back in October when the season actually began for the NBA it was almost a year ago now that this NBA season officially began to

began before we end up finishing the NBA finals were probably going to have nearly a full year that has taken place between the first game of this season and the last

last but the Denver Nuggets advanced they will play the Clippers we still have to wait and see who the Lakers are going to play because we got another game seven and going on

tonight between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the NBA.

The Houston Rockets I think the Rockets will find a way to get the win and so I think we'll be looking at Lakers versus Rockets and the and the other matchup

obviously we'll be talking about the Nuggets going up against the Clippers I still have the Houston Rockets in the

still like the two L.A. teams for everybody waking up on the West Coast with us I think it is going to be NBA L.A. NBA L.A. going on in the

bubble down in Orlando who knows what's going to happen on the other side I tend to think it's going to be the Celtics going up against the

Milwaukee Bucks that's what I predicted before all of the games began in our bracket challenge I know there's a lot of people want to brag about their

bracket challenge because everybody's got bracket envy but that is what went on last night in the NBA again I think the Rockets get it done

tonight in game seven we'll see what exactly ends up transpiring there what is transpiring you've heard us talk about it a lot over the course of this
