It has been a busy afternoon that just got busier with Greg Sankey filing an affidavit in the case in Tuscaloosa, and this is what he said.

This is the commissioner of the Southeastern Conference asking the court in Alabama to uphold the NCAA's eligibility rules,

saying that it's inconsistent application of the rules,

challenged in this case through court rulings or otherwise,

fuels disruption in college athletics.

So we will continue to follow this story, but it is, there has already been a response from Darren Heitner,

who is the attorney for Bettyaco.

Meanwhile, many people reporting on this right now.

And it will be very interesting to see the impact of this.

Certainly, if you're the NCAA, you are going to wrap your arms around the commissioner of the league

that Alabama is a member institution whose office is about 60 miles from Coleman Coliseum

in downtown Birmingham coming out in this favor.

We'll try to get some more understanding of it because it is really a big story. Certainly it is not a shock to see a commissioner adhere to NCAA rules but against one of his own member institutions.
