I wanted to ask you in that conversation with Depoto, which covered a variety of topics, what stood out most?

Well, I'm a, you know, being a reporter, I'm a trade nerd. Like, I love trades. And so to hear his perspective on, on making

trades, because as you guys know, Jerry is viewed in the industry as being one of the, the

swashbuckler trades, general managers in terms of

making deals. And so to hear, you know, the advice that he got from Billy Bean was really cool

where Billy said to him when he took over the Diamondbacks, hey, don't look back. And I do think

that that's the trait, some of the best executive share.

You know, A.J. Preller of the Padres being an example that Mike Hazen of the Diamondbacks,

Andrew Freeman of the Dodgers, they will make deals. They're not trying to rip off one of their

colleagues. They're hoping the deal works

out for everybody. And I think that's part of what makes them successful about making deals.

And it'll be really interesting, you know, going into this year's trade deadline with so much

parity in the American League. Will that become, as it was last year, a real weapon for the Mariners?
