feeling a little bit more like a theme park with a donor list. And it has been announced that the

Obama presidential center in Chicago is officially nearing completion. It's not done yet. Almost there.

It is set to open in June of this year. It's being described as one of the largest and most expensive presidential centers ever built, costing $850 million. It's going to be located in Jackson Park on Chicago's south side, and it is built to honor President Barack Obama's legacy.

Construction fort began in 2021.

And after years of delays and overcost, they're saying, hey, we're almost there.

It's going to be open.

Yeah, I can't tell which is worse about this presidential, the Obama presidential

library. For starters, if you haven't seen a photo of it, just do yourself a favor and Google

so you can find that image. What do you Google? Big trash can? That would probably pull up

something that looks better than the presidential library, but it is just a horrendous looking building.

It looks like something the Soviets would have built in like the late 60s, just absolutely

brutal.

I can't decide which is worse.

The way the building looks or the fact that $300 million in public money was used to

fund that.

So the total project was $850 million.

Yeah.

$300 million of that is public money.

That's about around 40% of the entire cost of the Obama presidential library was paid for with tax dollars there, either from the state or from the city of Chicago.
