This is a moment where I think the American people know that the President and our armed forces

are doing what needs to be done.

What I'm concerned about though is some aspects of what's being talked about.

I mean, we've got to insist that they both surrender and abandon any ambition for nuclear

weapons and programs.

They've got to unconditionally open the strait of Hormuz, and they've got to commit to ending

the sowing of violence across the region through their proxies.

My hope, my prayer is as the vice president and our negotiation team goes to Pakistan, is that

they draw that line and say that's what we need you to agree to.

We hold them to that deal in the months and years ahead.

We're prepared to strike and strike hard if they break the deal.

So you've got former Vice President Mike Pence giving Trump all the credit in the world for Operation Epic Fury.

That's one of the most generous things he said about his former running mate since,

well, 2021. And you've got Mike Pence praising the mission. Is that a message to the 10% of

Americans who disapprove of what the rest of the country is thinking about? I think we should frame this in the manner that you've got former vice president,

Mike Pence, saying that this is a brilliant campaign, while the current vice president

is the one who is going to execute the peace talks.

J.D. Vance doing peace talks is going to be the

ultimate test of whether anti-war populism can actually govern or whether it's just campaign

branding because this is a guy, J.D. Vance, who built his reputation as the one being

skeptical about the foreign entanglement.

So putting him at the center of Iran negotiations is it's either going to be America
