Great to be filling in here for Mark on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, such a historic and important day.

You know, sometimes I wish we had more men like Martin Luther King Jr. Today as the divisiveness in our country gets worse and worse. And let me tell you, President Joe Biden is not helping. He's only making it worse. Well, I want to hear from all of you today. I've heard some great callers today. I can give us a call at 800, 321-0-7-10. There's a lot to get to in this next hour. Our good friend Joe Contra is going to be with us later on in the program. I love Joe because his insight into the political craziness of the day somehow makes sense. It does. Now, again, feel free to call in. We do have a lot to get to. We're going to talk about voting rights, the big showdown in

Washington tomorrow. We'll talk about the latest on COVID-19 with Omicron and what the CDC is now saying

about masks. We'll talk about the disaster. That is the Biden-Harris administration. We'll talk a little

Mayor Eric Adams. But first, let's get back into Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.

Amazing. Amazing. Been in the office for less than a month. Everybody wants to get rid of him because

the crime wave is increasing. It's basically a crime free-for-all. You got to say it's attributed to

him. He comes out with this policy that he's not prosecuting certain crimes anymore, including resisting arrest. He's downgrading felonies, the most serious crimes we have, downgrading them to misdemeanors, which is sometimes, you know, not even prison time. So you go something from armed robbery to larceny. I still don't quite get the logic.

He says, trust me, guys. Trust me. I know what I'm doing. I'm an expert in criminal justice.

I'm an expert. I know that this is going to be the best thing for the city. Really? Because I don't

see it happening that way. And you know who has no faith in him? His own office. There has been an

exodus of prosecutors leaving the Manhattan

DA's office. Jonah Luzzi Orborn, she put Harvey Weinstein away. I covered that trial. I was in that

courthouse every day. I watched her. She was amazing. She left the office. Isn't that a sign for

brag that something's not working here?

Maybe putting in young progressives into your office is not the best thing for New York City.

I think he's starting to get it. And he says, oh, I didn't expect the blowback. This has been a

challenging few weeks. Are you really shocked by that?

Come on, come on.
