Tiger Woods gets the Presidential Medal of Freedom today. Now, there's controversy over it. Why? Because it's Donald Trump. Otherwise, it'd be just fine. Nobody would think twice about it. But because it's Donald Trump, everything is controversy. Now, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is given out by a president.

They usually do 10 or 15 at a time.

Often they did it twice here.

This president is not big on the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Obama liked to do lots of these ceremonies and give out lots of them.

Traditionally, it goes to a very famous person, usually an entertainer, an actor.

The idea of the award is you've contributed to the national culture.

It could also be for national security or some national cause. It's a national thing.

But most of these awards go to famous

athletes, entertainers

like Paul Newman and Paul

Simon and that kind of stuff.

Once in a while,
