This might be college football head.

Welcome in as we continue to plow through a lot of the news left over from the season.

As we look at this headline, the college sports actually want rules in Indiana.

Stuart Mandel from the Athletic Stewart, I'm really chuckling about the first part of your headline there

because we've just gotten through with yet another dramatic moment with Davo Sweeney.

And you want to agree with Davo and you want to clap and say all the right things.

And then you remember who he's calling on to look into this.

But before we even get to that specifically, just the idea of college athletics right now

and enforcement, they don't seem to be getting along very well.

Right.

Well, as you know, Paul, everybody loves to blame the NCAA for everything

while overlooking the fact that the NCAA is the members and the members set the rules.

And so we hear a lot of ADs, coaches, even commissioners complain that there's no enforcement and we need something better.

Okay, but are you willing to actually follow the rules?

And I use the Alabama basketball situation as a great example of that. You know, Greg

Byrne and the folks at Alabama have been out on the front line for years, advocating for a

better system, the Score Act, those sort of things.

And then, but they need a basketball, they need a seven-footer for the basketball team.

So they get a guy who, I mean, literally Charlie Baker, the president of NPA said maybe two weeks ago, maybe a little more about eligibility.

We're not going to ever grant a waiver to somebody who already played college basketball and turned pro, you know, in this case years ago.
