I'm sure they spoke with Boris and they saw where the deal was headed and that's someplace

that they didn't want to go.

So when we said that they didn't make an offer, they probably had discussions, but when

they saw that it was going to five years, they had no intention of doing that and they

let an all-time

franchise player go.

Now, I said this in the first hour of the show, and I'll repeat it.

I don't think that this is the worst move in the world by the Mets.

I know it impacts Mets, and I sympathize because I know how Yankee fans felt last year about Juan Soto.

And they had Juan Soto for just one year.
