On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we opened the week with an important conversation with a man whose life was once dominated by same-sex attraction. He delved into his childhood and relationship with his parents to help us understand that these desires do not appear in a vacuum. He explained why so many use same-sex attraction as a means of attempting to heal the brokenness they feel inside and why an authentic relationship with Christ is the only true healing for such a damaged identity. Once again, we were joined by a highly respected apologist who used his own journey from Islam to Christianity to help us understand why the Muslim perception of Jesus as a prophet and a good man is honorable but misses the point entirely of who He is and why He came. Our guest delved deep into the historicity of the founder of Islam, how much dependable evidence for his life really exists and why there is so much at stake for Muslims, like himself, who choose to turn away from Islam and embrace Christianity. Domestic violence and attempted murder were the starting place of a powerful story one woman shared with us about how she learned what true healing and dependance upon God really looks like. Through her harrowing experiences she gave us biblical and practical insight on what it looks like to choose to truly forgive those who hurts us and to trust God’s goodness even when you can’t see it or don’t feel it. She explained how God can take even the worst thorns of brutality and blossom them into roses of healing and restoration, if we let Him.
