The most incredible drug that the NFL sells you is hope.

And we see this every year because the regular season ends and immediately we all decide,

okay, things are about to get better for our favorite team.

That's the joy in this process, right?

So as the season, off season wears on, it starts with free agency

and then the draft and then OTAs. And each step along the way, you figure out that your team's

getting drastically better. But this offseason is not like most. I would argue that if you look at

the free agent class and you look at the draft together, this might be the worst offseason we've ever seen if your team needs to get better.

He's Buck Rising. I'm Jason Fitz. It's Buck and Fitz taking over for two pros in a cup of Joe.

And look, as Buck joked earlier, and we all know, like my favorite team sucks. I'm a Raider's fan.

So every year I enter the offseason. And Buck, I often say that our relationship with our teams are like really dysfunctional relationships that you've ever had in your life. Like when you first finish the regular season, it's like the day that you broke up. Like you understand everything that's wrong with your relationship. I'm like, I'm done with her. I'm not doing that anymore. month later you're like oh man i kind of miss her like i miss this one like that's what happens the first month of the of the of the off season and then you get to the combine and you're like oh man you know what like things things things might get better and then franchise tags and free agencies you're like oh man but we had a lot of fun when we went like to the movies and then all of a sudden you get to the draft and like oh man I would date nights were good and then you get to the summer and all of a sudden you're back you're like you know what we're going to do this thing we're gonna I miss her so much I love her so much you get right to the beginning of September one weekend and you're reminded that she was

crazy and you never should have gotten back with her. Like that's, that's the whole off season
