Good is they get, you know, what was a really solid starting pitching performance by Cam Schlittler. That's the good. That's again. Two in a row. The bad is Jonathan Loisica stinks. You led with Loisica? Who are you normally with Timmy Hill? Anthony Volpe making another error? Volpe. Yeah. I was going to get to that. The bad is Anthony Volpe makes another error. And here's what's so amazing about baseball and sports. Anthony Volpe made another horrific error that directly led to the Yankees blowing a lead and potentially losing this game. Right. But because they won the game, do you know how many questions Aaron Boone was asked about Anthony Volpe

after the game? He should have been asked a lot, but he was not asked any, I bet. Zero.

At least what was shown on the Yes Network watching the post game show. Zero. So Volpe

does it again, but because they're able to overcome it with the good and the good being Ben Rice

and the really good being Devin Williams shutting the door and Luke Weaver getting huge outs, they were able to overcome the bad. It was one of those Yankee victories that featured a lot of the bad that concerns you. And then a lot of the good that makes you think, hey, maybe we can overcome the bad. Does that make a lot of sense? Yeah, that's a lot of good and bad in there.

A lot of good and bad.

But the bad consistent, unfortunately, is Anthony Volpe. No, I know. I know. I don't know what you're supposed to do. I mean, when are you supposed to do, Oswald? You can't do anything. You can't. That's the problem. Maybe that's why you don't ask the question. because what are you going to do?

Aaron Boone realistically do to make it better? Aaron Boone can do anything. Brian Cashman can. He could trade for Zach Netto or the Anaheim Angels if he was available. You know what I mean? Like I'm just throwing it out there because the Mets are playing the Angels and he's good. But you know what I mean? Like go get a shortstop. There's nothing you can do. So it's one of those situations that unfortunately you stick with, even though Anthony Volpe over the last month is hitting like 135 and now makes errors on a nightly basis. But I'm going to surprise you with something. And you're going to think it's only for my own benefit. But you know what to me the ultimate good was last night in the Yankees victory? What's that? Devin Williams. Of course. Because... Luke Weaver too, but Devin Williams specifically. The reason I say Devin Williams even more so than Luke, Luke got five outs and was great. And no knock on Luke Weaver, but I think the Yankee fan always had confidence in Luke Weaver. Even when he had that little dud coming off the IL and he gave up the MEC game with the

home run of Jeff McNeil, Luke Weaver hasn't really fully lost the confidence of the Yankee fans. Devin Williams did. Devin Williams was buried by Yankee fans. Because he never really had it. Correct. He never had good. The good was in Milwaukee. Yes. And so I want to spike the football.

Because I want to take you all the way back to April 7th on the Evan and Tiki program.

Because all the way back on April 7th, Devin Williams was coming off a blown save and a loss.

And it was early.

It was only like his fourth appearance as a New York Yankee.

And most people were not ready to take the closest job away from him. No. I was. I was. And I said, listen, I think he's going to be fine. But I think they got to let this, they got to nip it in the butt before it gets worse. And so over the course of this conversation about Devin Williams, I made a long-term prediction.
