I know what everybody looks at they look at the polls and all these things that come out now in magazines but what you're about to hear has

been a more accurate indicator than Phil Steele and all the the blowharts who put

out magazines but Elliot joining us from 24-7, the headline says it all, the blue chip ratio.

The 16 can actually win.

But thank you very, very much. I cannot wait to dig into this. Before we get to who's on the list, explain, I know the past

record is very good. How does this come, how does it come about? what's the criteria?

Sure Paul so I was working in recruiting when I first started out and I was seeing a lot of the

national pundits who I really respected you know hyp, hype in some teams that from my perspective

like they just they don't sign anywhere near the quality recruits that the teams that actually

win the national title do. So I retroactively went back and took a look and said they're like what is the absolute minimum level of recruiting that you need to pull off as a program if you want to have a real shot to win the national title and actually take it home. And I got lucky.

It was just a clean 50%.

You need to sign more four and five star recruits

than two and three star recruits

over the prior four classes.

And it's held up over the last decade and a half.

Really, since about when we have reliable, you know, recruiting data,

15 years is a pretty good benchmark for it.

I think the past 10, even better.
