conversation about so many different subjects. And Bruce Feldman joins us from the Athletic

one of the truly great reporters and writers on the scene. His latest, watch some NFL coaches

think the transfer portal is killing prospect development. How interesting is that?

We've just seen the second straight transfer portal quarterback go first. Bruce, thanks for the time.

Always good to talk to you. So tell us what you've learned talking to the people that matter most in the NFL.

Yeah, Paul. When I was working on this draft confidential story over the last month,

and so I would talk to various NFL assistant coaches and scouts. And at one point,

I was talking to a defensive line coach who said, you know, this is the worst defensive tackle class in like a decade because it's just horrible.

And I said, well, why do you think that is?

And he proceeded to talk about how it is a position of development.

And because there is so much more movement, you know, players go into two, three, some even go to four schools.

He said, that is really hurting a lot of players, especially in the trenches, because it's like they're not in the same weight program for very long.

They bounce around.
