Good afternoon and welcome

and we have one of we think is a really interesting

program for you on this being chief. It's a very important holiday that we will

get going right now with some headlines and some guests will start dropping

by almost immediately and this is the

story that has rocked the baseball world since late last night. Arguably the

greatest player of all time.

Willie Mays, dying at the age of 93, he was in Palo Alto, California near where he played

most of his career. He was to be honored tomorrow night in Birmingham,

where he grew up right outside of Birmingham.

And unfortunately now the theme has changed. The numbers are simply unmatched 24 times an all-star

home runs. I mean there's just nothing that he didn't do that has not gone down in the history books.

Many believe have argued today he is the greatest baseball player of all time.

Some continue to say it was Babe Ruth, but the debate does not really matter.

He will forever be remembered and so will Rickwood Field, which is the oldest

ballpark in the country.
