exciting day. I apologize just before we start that you guys had to walk for about, I don't know,

half a mile to get here in the freezing cold. Meanwhile, I parked right outside the door.

But yeah, this is an exciting day for the New York Giants. It's a John Harbaugh, who we all know

is one of the best coaches in the NFL right now. And it seemingly was the job that he wanted.

It was the job that the Giants wanted to give to him. And it seemingly was the job that he wanted. It was the job that the Giants wanted to give to him.

And it just feels like the new era was someone who can be competent consistently is what we needed,

and he is the guy to bring it to it. I thought about this last night because I am a bad guy,

Tiki, and I was talking to my wife and I said, I'm going to try to tell Tiki and Sean and all the giant fans reasons to be concerned. Do not troll us today. No, no. You can troll us tomorrow. Hold on. Don't even think about that. Hold on a second. I might disown you. Hold on. And then I realized, after thinking about it, there is no negative. And I think this is one of those unique moments in New York sports where, look, we can't tell the future. I don't know what's going to happen in the next five or ten years. But over all the hires we've seen, whether it's Yankee hires or Med Hires or Giant hires, or Jet hires, or Nick hires, or Net hires, or Ranger hires, or any hire we've seen over the last 20 years, I can't think of one that comes with as much of a sure thing as bringing in a Super Bowl champion, as bringing in a program builder, as bringing in someone who has accomplished as much as John Harbaugh.

So you need it to wait for the end.

There is no negative.

It's an incredibly exciting day because, and rarely have I ever had a chance to say it,

we spend so much time on Sports Talk Radio saying,

the Mets should hire this person.

The Yankee should hire this person.

The Jets should hire this person.

You guys literally hired the dream person. You hired the right guy, in my opinion, in the right moment. And so there's

nothing negative to say. It's a very exciting day in giant history. And I can't wait to hear

from the coach, which we will at his press conference that will carry live at 12 o'clock. We'll hopefully get a chance to speak to Coach Harbaugh. It's literally one of those days, and it's rare in New York sports for me to simply tell you, there is no negative. It is one of the great hires one can have. I think the closest that you can get is the Knicks when they brought in Tom Thibito, mainly because we knew he could be a successful coach. Now, he'd never won a championship like John Harbaugh, but he had success. He'd been coach of the year and multiple stops. He'd taken his team deep into the postseason, and you knew that there was competency. And I keep coming back to that word, because that's what matters. It's hard when you hire a new head coach, a young head coach or a first-time head coach, and you're kind of just guessing whether or not they're going to be good at the job as a head coach or not. You knew Tom Thibodeau was going to be a good head coach. It was just a matter if he could break through and win a championship. With John Harbaal, we know he's going to be consistent. We know that he's going to be competent. We know that he's going to be the right kind of mentor.

And... With John Harbaal, we know he's going to be consistent. We know that he's going to be competent. We know that he's going to be the right kind of mentor and disciplinarian for this team. But you also know that he could win a championship. Now, we all know the stat. It's the one that everybody keeps referencing and it's nonsense, but it is what it is. Because it's hard to win a championship. No one has done it in two different places. But that's not even what I am thinking about right now. I'm just thinking about the Giants have the best available head coach that was available this offseason. And that makes it exciting for a giant fan.
