Summary

Evan and Tiki broadcast live from the Quest Diagnostics Training Center on a landmark day for the New York Giants as John Harbaugh is officially introduced as the franchise’s next head coach. The show begins with live reaction from inside the building as the Giants stage the press conference, ownership speaks, and Harbaugh lays out his vision for toughness, culture, and winning football in New York. Across all four hours, the guys react in real time to what Harbaugh said, how he said it, and why it immediately resonated with players, media, and fans. They break down the themes that defined the day, loving football, earning success, winning in the margins, and why Harbaugh felt like a natural fit for the Giants from the start. The show also examines what this hire means for the roster, the quarterback position with Jaxson Dart, the offensive line and run game, and the overall direction of the franchise. The centerpiece of the show is an extended sit down interview with John Harbaugh, where he talks openly about leaving Baltimore, his relationship with Lamar Jackson, how he evaluates modern quarterbacks, what excites him about the Giants’ roster, and where things stand with his coordinator search. He also delivers a clear message to Giants fans about pride, identity, and building a team they can believe in again. Joe Schoen also joins the show to explain the coaching search process, why Harbaugh became the clear choice, and how the organization positioned itself to land one of the most respected head coaches in football. The show wraps with full analysis, fan reaction, and perspective on why this day signals a turning point for the Giants, not just in expectations, but in professionalism, preparation, and belief moving forward.

exciting day. I apologize just before we start that you guys had to walk for about, I don't know,

0:04.8

half a mile to get here in the freezing cold. Meanwhile, I parked right outside the door.

0:09.5

But yeah, this is an exciting day for the New York Giants. It's a John Harbaugh, who we all know

0:14.8

is one of the best coaches in the NFL right now. And it seemingly was the job that he wanted.

0:20.0

It was the job that the Giants wanted it was the job that the giants wanted to give

0:23.3

to him and it just feels like the new era was someone who can be competent consistently is what we

0:30.7

needed and he is the guy to bring it to i thought about this last night because i am a bad guy

tiki and i was talking to my wife and i said i'm going going to try to tell Tiki and Sean and all the giant fans reasons to be concerned. Do not troll us today. No, no. You can troll us tomorrow. Hold on. Don't even think about it. Hold on a second. I might disown you. Hold on. And then I realized, after thinking about it, there is no negative. And I think this is one of those unique moments in New York sports where, look, we can't tell the future. I don't know what's going to happen in the next five or ten years. But over all the hires we've seen, whether it's Yankee hires or Med Hires or Giant hires, or Jet hires, or Nick hires, or Net hires, or Ranger hires, or any hire we've seen over the last 20 years, I can't think of one that comes with as much of a sure thing as bringing in a Super Bowl champion, as bringing in a program builder, as bringing in someone who has accomplished as much as John Harbaugh.

1:27.2

So you need it to wait for the end.

1:29.7

There is no negative.

1:31.2

It's an incredibly exciting day because, and rarely have I ever had a chance to say it,

1:36.7

we spend so much time on Sports Talk Radio saying,

1:39.4

the Mets should hire this person.

1:41.0

The Yankee should hire this person.

1:42.7

The Jets should hire this person.

1:45.0

You guys literally hired the dream person. You hired the right guy, in my opinion, in the right moment.

1:50.7

And so there's nothing negative to say. It's a very exciting day in giant history. And I can't

1:55.8

wait to hear from the coach, which we will at his press conference that will carry live at 12 o'clock. We'll hopefully get a chance to speak to Coach Harbaugh. It's literally one of those days, and it's rare in New York sports for me to simply tell you, there is no negative. It is one of the great hires one can have. I think the closest that you can get is the Knicks when they brought in Tom Thibito, mainly because we knew he could be a successful coach. Now, he'd never won a championship like John Harbaugh, but he'd had success. He'd been coach of the year and multiple stops. He'd taken his team deep into the postseason, and you knew that there was competency. And I keep coming back to that word, because that's what matters. It's hard when you hire a new head coach, a young head coach or a first-time head coach, and you're kind of just guessing whether or not they're going to be good at the job as a head coach or not. You knew Tom Thibodeau was going to be a good head coach. It was just a matter if he could break through and win a championship. With John Harbaal, we know he's going to be consistent. We know that he's going to be competent. We know that he's going to be the right kind of mentor.

2:54.8

And... With John Harbaal, we know he's going to be consistent. We know that he's going to be competent. We know that he's going to be the right kind of mentor and disciplinarian for this team. But you also know that he could win a championship. Now, we all know the stat. It's the one that everybody keeps referencing and it's nonsense, but it is what it is. Because it's hard to win a championship. No one has done it in two different places. But that's not even what I am thinking about right now. I'm just thinking about the Giants have the best available head coach that was available this offseason. And that makes it exciting for a giant fan. Evan and Tiki on the road brought to you by Town Fair Tire. Nobody beats Town Fair Tire. Nobody. We are live from the Quest Diagnostic Training Center. We'll be here throughout the show. We'll get into fears that Nick fans now have, considering the losing there on a little bit later on. We'll keep you posted about the Cody Bellinger sweepstakes, but obviously today is a New York Giants Day,

3:41.1

as John Harbaal will meet the media with his introductory press conference scheduled for 12 noon.

3:46.3

We talked about this briefly last week, and I feel more emboldened by it, and that is how quickly

can this head coach make a difference on this team?
