🎥 DESCRIPTION
My guest, Sujay Mehta, shares his incredible journey — from being on the medical school path to living in India like a monk, then pivoting into real estate and building a thriving hotel business. We dive deep into how he transitioned from development deals to hotel acquisitions, the philosophy that shaped his mindset, and why he believes hotels are the most underrated asset class in real estate today. If you’ve ever considered getting into hospitality investing or want a fresh perspective on how real estate and business intersect, this one’s for you!
Specifically, we talk about:
• why hotels are the most underrated asset class in real estate
• how he transitioned from medicine to building a hotel
• lessons from developing and acquiring both boutique and branded hotels
• creative strategies for financing, operations, and scaling in the hotel space
• and so much more!
