and television and cartoons and all of the different ways that my passion, my obsession,

your obsession, comic books are shared obsession obsession has just blown up global worldwide the toy

shelves the the target the Walmart the best buy the game stop I mean it just

seems like the entire world is comic books right now and I pulled my first

column book off the spinner rack in

1975 and I've been taking you down this journey now for many many many many

months many episodes we're gonna stay the course we are still in the 90s right

right here in 1990 we're gonna do a couple things maybe change it up a little from from from how we've done things in the past but

but uh we're going to definitely stay with the 1990s and so many of you have said hey rob

when are you going to cover what happened to dc in the 90s well DC comics it's really

interesting in 1992 in that 1990 1990 we're we're going to talk about it tonight,

but it's not a big shift in movement for them. They become a very reactionary entity, a very,

very reactionary company that, you know, it's like cold water splash in their face. They got

electrocuted. They got, you know, shocked by Image Comics, which suddenly they're kind of relaxed, positioned

against Marvel, kind of just always content to kind of run alongside them or run or happy

to run behind them, is threatened when Image becomes the number two comic book company in August of 1992. This happened.

We did it with seven comments. I'm getting ahead of myself. We're going to cover that when we get to

1992 because it is really the aftermath is where you get the death of suit man, breaking Batman's

back, and they start killing their characters

with huge acclaim and fanfare and sales. And it's exciting. It's exciting time for them.
