When all of a sudden out of nowhere, we get kickoff

times dropped on us. I think they coincide with the upfronts, which is something you don't need

to know anything about. It's what big media companies do to attract advertisers this time of year.

And I think they choose these dates to release kickoff times and windows and whatnot irrelevant point being we found out today things

like oh i don't know miami and florida are going to kick off at three 30 eastern time in

august in gainsville which just basically translates to if they die they die but we got to get a good tv product TV product, don't we? This is the Late Kick Extra podcast. I'm Josh Pate, wall-to-wall college football. I posted this on Twitter this morning. I'll reiterate it here. We are doing insane numbers in the podcast. And the podcast is not even our primary source of traffic. YouTube numbers dwarf our podcast numbers, but even our podcast numbers

are off the charts. We are the most consumed college football show in the world now, thanks to you.

That's how we keep the show free. So as I said,

schedule is starting to get released, kickoff time starting to be announced. It's a beautiful,

beautiful thing. I don't know if looking at schedules does to you what it does to me, but it gives me what me maw would call the gooseys. And the gooseys are almost always a good thing as it relates

to this sport. So yes,

we will discuss that later. But let's see what Pate State has to offer this morning in the

very, very, very chock-full mailbag, full of college football questions and beyond. First up,

this is from Christian in Murphy's Borough, Tennessee. What will be your definition of a successful first year of a 12-team playoff? I don't even know how to answer this, Christian. I guess one of my big concerns is that teams could play two or three times, which I'm not a big fan of, especially when we're doing away with divisions. Please keep this in mind, guys. We're not just getting a 12-team playoff this year. That's

not the only thing that's changing. We're also seeing conferences, big conferences, like the

Big Ten and the SEC have divisions no longer. So it's just the top two teams from the conferences,

which you may listen to and you say, oh, great, the top two teams play for the conference title.
