Police have launched a murder inquiry after a corpse was found floating in the blue lagoon

at Arlesley on Sunday afternoon.

The body was found by two men walking around the lagoon who alerted other men to their

One of the men said, we were sitting around in the sun when these two fellows came up

and said about something floating in the water and there was a terrible smell.

We went over there and there was a body wrapped in sacking and the smell was terrible.

We could see there was no head on the body and by the length of the sack I doubt whether
