By now, you've seen the surveillance video of the cold-blooded murder aboard a Charlotte,

North Carolina light rail.

Today's real story is that Charlotte's Democratic leadership apparently didn't want you or anyone

to see that video.

Now, why do I say that?

Because you didn't see it for like two weeks. Charlotte's mayor did everything possible to keep

that horrific video under wraps for two weeks. Local media either missed or ignored the magnitude.

The implications of the crime.

Now, I say that because this story is tragic on so many different levels.

Let's just start with the ultimate tragedy.

The death of an innocent young woman, 23-year-old Irina Zerutska, a Ukrainian refugee who fled for a better life.

To save her life, she moved to the U.S. with her mother, sister, and brother.

Now, Friends described her as a passionate artist who loved sculpting and designing clothing. She was also an animal lover who often cared for her neighbor's pets. So this wasn't some kind of wild woman who

was somewhere she shouldn't be doing something she shouldn't be doing. This was an innocent young

woman who was on public transit. And this is how her life ended, alone, riding on

public transportation, scrolling on her phone, completely unaware that a deranged lunatic would

come up behind her and slash her to death. So who did this?

The suspect is a 35-year-old De Carlos Brown Jr.

A career criminal who has been arrested not once, not twice, not three, not four, not

five times, 14 different times.

He unfolded a pocket knife, stood behind Irina, and stabbed her multiple times,

and then just wandered through the train, dripping blood, stripping off his hoodie
