This is a terrifying experience I had when I was just a child.

I was an elementary school student at the time, and I lived in a small apartment that you

might find anywhere, with my mother and sisters. When night fell, we all slept together as a

family in the same tatami mat room.

One night, my mother wasn't feeling well, so she asked me to turn the lights off.

I turned off the lights in the bathroom and living room, turned the TV and such off,

and then I went back to the bedroom.

I told Mum that all the lights were off in the house, and then climbed into my own bed.

My younger sister was already asleep beside me.

It was earlier than I normally went to bed, so I struggled to get to sleep and ended up staring at the ceiling for a while.

Then, suddenly, I heard a strange sound in the otherwise silent room. Kang, Kang.
