It was a 40-minute bike ride to my school, and so when I first started going, I spent some time looking around for shortcuts on my way back home.

One day, I found a path that ran alongside

the river with a concrete wall on the other side. It was pretty narrow, but there were quite

a few people using it. It was completely straight with no branching paths, but then, as the number

of people dwindled, I realized something odd.

The path was a dead end.

But as I turned and started walking back, a chill ran down my spine.
