Summary

This week I’m joined by nutritionist and metabolic expert Lauren Papanos to talk about hormones, metabolism, and why so many women feel like they’re doing everything right but nothing is working. We get into the real drivers behind weight plateaus, inflammation, and hormone imbalance- and why fasting, overtraining, and under-eating can backfire during our reproductive years.

Lauren breaks down the hormones most doctors aren’t testing for, how minerals impact thyroid function, and what actually supports metabolism, fertility, and long-term hormone health. We also talk about strength training, carbs, and the lifestyle shifts that can make the biggest difference.

Because it's like, I don't, I don't know. I mean, I understand some moms will say like, if your kid needs you, you just pick them up right away. Like this time's going to pass. But I also understand being like every once in a while, of course, with the reason being like, I also have things to do outside of you. Yeah. And that's like a good life lesson. Yeah. But like, Mommy's going in to do a podcast to work. You know what I mean? To like provide a gorgeous life for you and like for me to be like a full person and like continue what I've been, you know, you've been doing this since what college. Yeah. Yeah. Over a decade. But yeah, it's, it's hard to find that balance with it too.

like really dive in because how often do people say to you like, I'm doing everything right and nothing's working? Not people, women specifically.

2:24.6

Yeah, all the time. Or they're like, I already eat really healthy. I'm already exercising. I'm already doing X, Y and Z. So, you know, what can you teach me that I don't already know? Right.
