| 0:00.0 | Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. |
| 0:04.8 | Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. And I want to give a special shout out to Gus and McKenzie, who caught me yesterday, told me they've been praying the rosary podcast every day since 2020 and they just got engaged. So let's offer |
| 0:27.0 | this rosary for their engagement and wedding. Now we're traveling through the theological virtues, |
| 0:37.2 | faith, hope, and love. And today we're |
| 0:40.3 | meditating on hoping for others. What does it mean to hope for others? Well, remember, |
| 0:49.6 | hope is the virtue in which we realize that our only true happiness is to be found in Jesus and |
| 0:55.8 | heaven. And so naturally, hope prompts us to pursue a deep friendship with Jesus and heaven |
| 1:03.2 | as the only thing that can ultimately satisfy us. Now, when you love someone else, it means you |
| 1:10.6 | think of them as another self, so that what |
| 1:14.6 | makes them happy makes you happy. |
| 1:16.8 | In other words, love makes you long for the happiness of another as you long for your own. |
| 1:24.1 | So if we have hope, and if we love our neighbor, we'll not only commit ourselves to pursuing heaven for ourselves, |
| 1:32.3 | we'll be committed to doing what we can to help our kids and our spouse and our friends and our families and even our enemies get to heaven as well. |
| 1:44.6 | That's what happens when you combine hope and love. |
| 1:51.4 | Our Father who art in heaven, hallow it be your name. |
| 1:54.4 | Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. |
| 1:58.0 | Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive |
| 2:03.0 | those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, amen. |
| 2:09.3 | Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women. Blessed is a fruit |
| 2:14.5 | of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God. |
| 2:17.9 | Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen. |
| 2:21.0 | Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. |
