Welcome to Hoovering, the podcast about eating. I'm Jessica Bostigue. I love eating as much as

anything else in the world, but also it sometimes brings me conflict, shame and all sorts of other

things that are rubbish. It's complicated and I think fascinating. This is a conversation with an interesting soul, not just about food, but about gobbling it up, or if you will, Hoover.

Welcome, please, Hooverers. This one was a huge fun live record from Newcastle's brilliant Maps Festival at the excellent Gosforth Civic Theatre back in February.

My star-studded local guests were none other than Emmerdale's Charlie Hardwick,

who's knocking about being amazing at the moment in Channel 4's Ackley Bridge,

also comedians Seymour Mace and Hal Branson,

and local Beer Wizard and more, Katie Cullen, co-creator of the groundbreaking block and bottle.

But before we get starting, I've got two huge things that you have to know about first.
