Summary
Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering.
QUICK PUKESOME BEG: If you had a spare few pennies a month I’ve set up on this amazing site called Patreon where I can swap really fun extras and perks with you, in exchange for financial help with continuing and growing this mighty podcast – thank you in advance – have a look
This week I’m joined by a comedian, writer and former obstetric Dr, Adam Kay. He tells us about the brilliant thing some house-movers once found in his designer oven. We all learn the phrase “a friend of soy” and he learned something which you would never guess at school. We touch on the magical world of private catering and his answer to one of my questions goes 100% gornographic. All that and we make a little time for some ‘fact-shaming’.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Adam's stunning book is called 'This Is Going To Hurt' - grab it now.
Our lunch was from Chiwsick's brilliant Saigon Saigon. He recommends private sushi catering from Gorilla Sushi. And here's the formidable One Pot Chef whose work I can now, sadly, never unseen.
